Art is the one thing I can escape into where the idea looms larger than reality. It's a place where I can lose myself to infinite possibilities. But art is much more. Art is an expression and interpretation of how I see and interpret reality. Art is the window into the hearts and minds, giving meaning beyond words and actions. Often, we only see what is presented in front of us in the tangible world, simply accepting it at face value, but beyond that, there is an unknown and unseen happening, paying out and unfolding on this grand stage we call life. Art is also about telling a story that sometimes traditional ways fail to tell.
When I think of manifesting reality, I believe in making that reality in art. To make reality amazing, I went forward with this thought in my mind. Dreams worth having are dreams worth living. Beyond that, I am taking some advice from a book I read: “Write the story of the life you want to read.” Underlying those ideas and the rules of the art show include the fact that I can’t let reality get in the way of reality. Belief and faith are the cornerstones to everything we know to be real and true, so real that it comes off the canvas.
The Artistic Abstract Adjective Beat Movement has become something much more, something that has become an expression of ideas and a positive world I want to live in.
Even with this sort of scale the detail isn’t there. Still very neat and awesome to see my art up and on display even if for just a moment.
One of my favorite drawings on the right depicts a beautiful woman on the Tokyo Metro whom I met and was allowed to get to know. There is a lot of texture involved in this picture. The basket, the skirt, and the seat are themselves. The magnitude alone caused me a headache. Often I have to draw like a typewriter and only do a bit of a time before rolling it up. This leads to other problems like the sketch smearing and dragging on itself. The other issue is keeping the drawing in proportion and keeping the same hue of the monochromatic style.
I absolutely love how this line up of some of my biggest and most intricate pieces came together. People who have inspired me and pushed me to be the very best artist I know to be. The beauty of life inspires me to capture moments in time frame them and believe in a much larger reality then the ones they represent.
I platyed around with one of the drawings on which one I actually wanted up on display. With art though everything is possible in the moment.
I think it’s a great feeling being able to put some of my art and ideas into perspective. This set is unique well, at least two of them. I did a self portarte with my CCCP space helmet and I did a white charcoal on a gray background.
I love how this picture looks with its depth and it’s incredibly amazing detail in the background. I had the perfect place in mind to place my drawing and I am impressed at how it looks hanging up.
This has always been one of my favorite drawings being able to stare into the depths of another world
