Tokyo National Museum
I have made the clam before that Japan, Tokyo, is a place that has everything and I’ll say it again. I was impressed to see the array of exhibits in and around the Tokyo National Museum. I was afforded the opportunity to see national treasures from all over the world from China to Egypt. What took me completely by surprise was seeing such in impact that Europe has had. I never would have guess that Monet had place in Japan, as if he had always lived there.
You might think to yourself if you weren’t paying attention and took a wrong turn that somehow you mysteriously got transported to France. That was my first though when I stumbled across the state of The Thinker.
I though the doors to Dante’s inferno could only be found in France you can imagine my surprise when I found another set in Tokyo. Art is one of those ideas that transcends boundaries and borders. I liked to think that rather then going to Dante;s inferno you would instead be transported to Paris, France.
And then just as I finished up with the stunning sculptures that I came across I ran into literally a whale. Seeing a whale after having visited the Tokyo muesume was quite the odd thing.
Around every corner, down every street there is always something amazing to be had, weather it be relics form the past, a Pokémon parade or simply a nice quite place to get lost in for a moment.
Even in a world of museums there could be found areas where it seemed to date back to a time long ago, and was left untouched. I am left to wonder how life was in a time past but not forgotten.
The chance and ability to capture a picture in such a magical place is rare and almost unheard of but still possible if you’re patient and wait long enough for just the right moment.
An adventure through Yogi Park.
As I wonder though Tokyo and Japan I am constantly finding things that leaves me thinking wow, how on earth did I not know about this before. What was suppose to only be a 15 minuet journey ended up turning into a several hour adventure.
With the number of people living and visiting in Japan, it was strange to go into a garden or museum and all of a sudden you are by yourself experiencing life almost like a private show a private happening made for only you.
The Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
Mad famous by their own right and then again the anime movie “The Garden of Words” This area of Tokyo is one of my favorite to visit.
Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku
Art blended with fashion is nothing uncommon in a day in the life while in Tokyo and the Tokyu Plaza is no exception.
